Welcome to Real Talk of the North: Toronto powered by Weseehiphop. Host ShenTakeOver sits with 1111 (aka Ty Craig/TC) to unpack the dual life: late-night R&B that heals hearts and viral Toronto skits that have the city crying laughing. From Lawrence Heights (Jungle) roots to Atlanta label plays, writing sessions with Cassie, co-signs from Drake, and collabs with Eric Bellinger—this one’s a ride. 🌆🎤

What’s inside 👇
• 🧭 Origins: From TC in Jungle to the 1111 brand and meaning (alignment, wish, intuition)
• 🎚️ Music journey: First 11:11 EP going viral a year later, real checks, real fans
• 🍼 Life balance: Father of 3, university detours, perseverance mindset
• 🏈→🎶 Switch-up: Running back dreams to full-time artist after concussions & camp reality
• 🏢 Community roots: Recording the hood at the center; RIP Foolish; Top5 mentions
• 😂 Skits: Toronto hoods, TTC chaos, “ooh yuh” ad-lib, and why he’s dialing skits back to focus on music
• 🌍 Industry moments: Ella Mai reposts, Eric Bellinger records, studio sessions around Diddy era, Atlanta label (Radar)
• 🎛️ Influences: The-Dream, Chris Brown; dream links with Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR
• 🎯 Strategy: Content cadence, tagging music under skits, consistency over virality
• 🚗 Toronto talk: Stereotypes, Yorkdale bridge stories, downtown driving, Caribana chaos
