Head of one of the most powerful and notorious gangs in Port-au-Prince, Jimmy Cherizier, also known as ‘Barbecue’ has spoken to Sky News.
The mobster is the leader of a gang called the G9 Family and Allies.
For the first time Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Cherizier says he is prepared to talk peace – but only if he’s given a seat at the table. He says ‘if the international community comes with a detailed plan where we can sit together and talk, but they do not impose on us what we should decide, I think the weapons could be lowered’.
