Hey ya’ll! Omg, Potatoes… did this girl really ask her friend to dress “basically frumpy” so she wouldn’t outshine her at her boyfriend’s birthday party?! You cannot make this stuff up. In today’s AITA story, we’ve got one very insecure friend, a boyfriend turning the big 3-0, and a dress code request that is honestly giving middle school Mean Girls vibes. OP was just trying to show up and celebrate, but her friend decided that her biggest priority was making sure she had Jamie’s “full attention” at his own party. Yikes.
Would you still go to the party and let her control what you wear, or would you nope out and stay home with a bottle of wine and Netflix? Personally, I’d be sprinting in the opposite direction with my self-respect intact. Grab your snacks because this one is as messy as it gets.
