Welcome back to Mexico City, explorers—today marks my second day in this vibrant chaos, and I decided to go full local mode by riding every mode of transport imaginable: feet pounding the pavements, hopping on a local bus, maze of the metro, hiring a bike, and finally, after a gruelling 2+ hour journey, drifting into the colourful canals of Xochimilco to rent a trajinera boat and join the weekend party vibes where families and friends blast mariachi tunes amid the floating gardens (just a quick hop from the eerie Isla de las Muñecas).
