$1.5 million worth in illegal drugs seized in GTA trafficking investigation

Halton police have seized a combined 56 kilograms of opium and cocaine following a drug trafficking investigation in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
An investigation into illicit drug trafficking started in the fall of 2025, police said, and a suspect was identified as a result.
On Feb. 9, officers executed search warrants at two locations and an associated vehicle
