Day two in Culiacán, Sinaloa took me deeper into the reality of the city. From one crime scene to the next, I witnessed the aftermath left behind — quiet streets, unanswered questions, and lives permanently altered.
Between those moments, I visited a local cemetery, a place where many stories here end too early. The headstones tell a history you don’t find in headlines — names, dates, and reminders of how fragile life can be in this part of the world.
And in between it all, life continues. I sat down to eat incredible local Mexican food, surrounded by people simply trying to live their day like any other. That contrast — violence, loss, and everyday life existing side by side — is what defines Culiacán.
This isn’t about shock value. It’s about showing what a normal day can look like in a city the world often misunderstands.
