Surveillance video shows an intruder stealing from a Vancouver restaurant employees’ locker room. The Lebanese eatery, Zaatar w Zeit, has dealt with other theft in the past, with intruders becoming violent when confronted.

Joanne Zarife says her staff were scared to come to work last year after a man was stabbed to death at the Starbucks next door.

She says, “We want people to feel safe when they enter here. It’s like…they’re destroying our home and they’re affecting the employees. It affects mental health. It affects everything.”

Alissa Thibault reports.
