‘Targeted:’ Man shot dead inside Mississauga spy equipment store

One man is dead and another is in custody following a shooting at a surveillance equipment store in Mississauga.

It happened at Spy Depot Security in the area of Kennedy Road and Matheson Boulevard.

Police say that they were called to the store at around 8:30 a.m. for reports of a person who was unresponsive.

Police say that the victim, a 62-year-old man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was subsequently pronounced dead on scene.

Police have since arrested a male in his 70s in connection with the homicide. It is not clear what charges, if any, that individual will face.

Const. Laurie McCann told reporters at the scene that the homicide appears to have been “targeted,” though she said that it is too early to speculate about a possible motive.**
