Two people have been arrested after a vehicle crashed into a pole and burst into flames in Etobicoke early Friday morning, police say.
It happened near Albion Road and Westmore Drive just after 5 a.m. Police said the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
Toronto Fire Services said when they arrived at the scene the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was eventually put out.
Officers later located two people and placed them under arrest. It’s unclear what charges they’re facing.
One person was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Roads were closed in the area, but have since reopened.
