A British man living in Vancouver has been convicted in the U.S., in a dark web-operated drug trafficking network dubbed ‘Canada 1’.
It began with the tragic deaths of two American Navy sailors over eight years ago, who died from fentanyl overdoses.
Investigators connected these deaths with drugs being trafficked on the dark web.
“They were importing fentanyl into Canada and then they concealed it in a nasal spray, and then trafficking that via people purchasing it on the dark web,” an officer said.
Global’s Paul Johnson has the story.
