I’m in Northern Manitoba with a local Indigenous man, driving three hours north into Treaty 2 Territory. On this trip we visited three reserves—St. Martin, Pinaymootang (Fairford), and Little Saskatchewan—but most of our time was in St. Martin, where he lives. This episode is the road there: honest conversation about distance, access, and everyday realities before we even roll the camera on the reserve.
